This paper briefly covers the mechanical behavior of mono-crystalline metals, Schmid’s Law, slip systems, strain hardening and destructive tensile testing.

H-Bot Control

H-Bot (or less commonly T-Bots) is a low cost mechanical configuration that gives planar, 2 DOF control. It relies serpentine pulleys to control a carriage and gantry axis, and is most commonly used for low-resolution point-to-point positioning with relatively low payloads.
